Birders in the know have been congregating on the shores of Stearns Lake for decades. The area hosts scores of migrating birds, including shorebirds and waterfowl that are otherwise scare in the area, plus the lightning-strike-famous bald eagles who call a nearby cottonwood snag home.
Join us on an easy, expert-led outing to see what there is to see. Species we might encounter: pelican, bald eagle, kestrel, swainsons hawk, eared grebe, blue winged teal and more. Suggested donation: $20
