EVENT IS FULL! Thanks for your interest and keep an eye on friendsofcoalcreek.org/events for future events.

It’s been 2+ years since the Marshall Fire. How is riparian bird habitat responding? On this outing, led by Superior birder Peter Ruprecht, we’ll discover how bird habitat has naturally regenerated as we travel the Mayhoffer-Singletree Trail along Coal Creek.

An early morning start gives us the best chance to see and hear local breeding species, such as blue grosbeaks, before the heat of the day sets in. Come for 90 minutes of birds and observe nature’s power to heal itself.

Meeting place: The Mayhoffer-Singletree trailhead at 3rd and Depot

Maximum capacity: 10 birders
